Ready's Rainforest
Fort Worth, TX
At Ready’s Rainforest, our mission is to preserve and promote the natural beauty of panther chameleons through responsible breeding, education, and community engagement. We are dedicated to maintaining the purity of locale-specific lines—such as Ambanja, Sambava, Nosy Be, and Nosy Faly—by pairing healthy, well-documented animals that reflect the vibrant traits of their wild origins. Beyond breeding, we strive to empower reptile keepers with the knowledge and tools they need to provide exceptional care. Through our curated educational materials, live event interactions, and family-driven outreach, we aim to inspire a new generation of chameleon keepers who value both the art and responsibility of reptile husbandry. Our goal is not just to sell chameleons, but to cultivate confident, informed caretakers who will steward these incredible creatures with respect and curiosity.
Ready’s Rainforest is a family-owned reptile breeding business based in Fort Worth, Texas, operated by Amanda and Lee Ready. Their educational approach and personalized support have earned them a loyal following both online and in-person.Ready’s Rainforest is a fixture at major Texas reptile expos, including the San Antonio Reptile Show and Reptilian Nation, where their booth draws attention for its stunning display animals and welcoming, informative vibe. Future Goals
Ready’s Rainforest plans to expand its focus on preserving pure-locality panther chameleon lines by continuing to work with F1 and wild-caught lineage animals, ensuring that the distinct traits of locales like Ambanja, Nosy Faly, Sambava, and Nosy Be are kept intact for future generations. As more keepers enter the chameleon space, Amanda and Lee Ready aim to grow their breeding program while staying small enough to maintain personal attention to each animal’s development. This includes refining their husbandry systems, documenting bloodlines more extensively, and carefully selecting new breeders to improve color diversity and health without sacrificing purity. They also have a clear goal of expanding their educational offerings. Through new care materials, hands-on guidance at reptile shows, and family-friendly products like care journals and chameleon-themed coloring books, they want to make the chameleon-keeping journey more accessible and enjoyable—especially for younger or first-time keepers. Their long-term vision includes launching a more robust online resource hub that includes care videos, downloadable guides, and perhaps even an educational YouTube series or TikTok content centered on chameleon behavior, care, and habitat enrichment. Lastly, Ready’s Rainforest hopes to deepen its presence at regional and national expos—particularly in the southeastern and central U.S.—by setting up more immersive and interactive booths. These setups would not only showcase their chameleons but also provide live education, husbandry demonstrations, and local-specific comparisons. The goal is to turn each expo interaction into a learning experience, giving attendees a better understanding of what makes panther chameleons so special—and what it takes to keep them successfully.
