Snakelets is the brainchild of an off-the-cuff remark from my good friend and fellow biology nerd from college who breeds carpet pythons: "You could make some of your bracelets with snake patterns..." and the ideas immediately started to spark and ricochet around in my head and Would. Not. Stop. That was mere months ago, and what you see here at Snakelets is just getting started! I'm Amy, a dorky biology nerd from south Texas with a strong partiality for herps (second only to bunnies... yes, bunnies🐇💕). Most of my day-jobs have involved being outdoors and thus my herp lifelist over the years has gotten bigger and funner in all sorts of places across south, central and north Texas to south Florida. My obsession with low latitudes, combined with deep family roots in a henhouse of crafters, led me in 2016 to open my main bracelet shop BeachFlea (www.etsy.com/shop/beachflea), where I make women's beach-themed bracelets and bangles. Thus my Snakelets are made using the same knotting and design techniques perfected over there -- but made for men, women and kids who love flipping, roading, chasing and catching! 🐍
